Als songwriter haal ik mijn inspiratie uit spirituele reizen. Reizen op spiritueel niveau behoeft geen lotushouding en kaarslicht. Een reis ondergaat men al wanneer een ziel de andere ziel ontmoet. Of door gewoon in stilte te verblijven, de natuur in te gaan of je kat eens diep in de ogen te kijken. Liedjes worden geschonken, verhalen geboren en samen zorgt dit voor een uniek concept. In de fysieke wereld liet ik mij inspireren door reizen naar Engeland en Ierland. Waar ik andere muzikanten trof, die mij weer draagkracht gaven om mijn eigen authentieke vorm te ontwikkelen. Maar ondanks het leven één zoektocht is, kun je het pas vinden wanneer je stopt met zoeken en je op eigen innerlijke kern focust. Vertrouwen in dat wat is en dat alles zich op het juiste moment zal ontvouwen. Dit weerspiegelt in de melodie. Het bos, de natuur met al haar leven vormen eveneens een grote bron van inspiratie.
As a composer I got my inspiration out of my spiritual journeys. It doesn’t take a candle light situation to get there. But candlelight is always good for the heart to cuddle into. You can also get out into the forest, or just be in silence. Or maybe be in silence in the forest and listening to what the birds have to say. It can be pretty meaningful. It’s always better than listening to politics. In the physical world I visited England and Ireland and I got inspired through beautiful musicians and people I met. Music is borderless and goes around the world effortlessly. So does your spiritual being. And in Ireland and England I got in touch with great spiritual beings, just because they are. It is the most profound form of unconditional love, to be with the being and let the music speak through you. Nature with all their beautiful creatures will take the melody with them, so it can be heard, where needed.
